Chaz Mena is an award winning American actor, writer and producer.
Chaz is a 2018 Associate Artist for playwrighting at Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Artists’ colony in Florida. In 2017 he was named a ‘Revolutionary in Residence’ at Colonial Williamsburg, VA and was commissioned to write a full-length play on Cuban merchant Juan de Miralles, the United States’ first foreign ambassador.
He is recurring as Vicente Cruz in Netflix’s new, hit show, Bloodline. His nationally televised, one-person play Yo Solo… was distributed by PBS from 2012-14 and won for him the Freedom Foundation’s ‘George Washington Honor Medal for Media’ along with official, Congressional Recognition.
He has performed in over 50 plays at both New York and anchor, regional theatres in the United States. Chaz divides his time between New York and Florida. He is a published poet who along with Vanguardia Films (San Juan, PR), writes & produces independent feature films shot in the United States and abroad.
