MAKING THE MOVIE
The movie will be filmed on location in the UK, Malta and Northern Italy. Although a story of one man with the Second World War as a backdrop, by bringing together a highly experienced team, including the very best aerial cinematographers in the world, we will be creating stunning air sequences filmed over all three main locations. The aerial sequences will be unrivalled for their excitement, visceral drama and authenticity; A Pair of Silver Wings will set a new benchmark in the history of aviation in cinema.
Furthermore, the traumatic and brutal Siege of Malta and the partisan war in northern Italy will never have been so vividly or accurately portrayed.
The wartime sequences feature aspects of the conflict that are now in danger of being forgotten, and will pay homage to the fighter pilots of the RAF, to Malta’s wartime generation of which the Maltese people are justifiably proud, and also to the heroic partisan struggle that took place in Italy during the last year of the war. Our ambition is to ensure the very real people and events that took place both in Malta and Italy and on which much of the story is heavily based are honoured anew and their experiences kept alive. The film is scheduled to be released in 2020.
